Building and Training an Equitable Workforce in the Midwest

Work is underway in the Midwest to expand and diversify the talent pipeline through clean energy company programs, partnerships with community colleges, state administered programs, and efforts led by non-profits. A diverse workforce is a valuable asset which inspires creativity, encourages varied perspectives, and supports innovation. This session will discuss efforts to expand and diversify the clean energy workforce in the region. Attendees will learn about innovative ways to engage communities including BIPOC, women, gender expansive, and various education and career backgrounds.
