Mitchell Myhre is a Senior Manager of Business Planning and Regulatory Strategy at Alliant Energy focusing on system planning, strategy and policy development for regional and federal matters. At Alliant Energy he leads a team working to help transform the company’s generation fleet and find ways to better utilize and optimize the use of the transmission system. He has experience working on the interconnection of wind, solar, energy storage and gas resources and assisted with the recent completion of 1.5 GWs of solar resources across Wisconsin and Iowa. Mitchell is involved with many facets of transmission planning and RTO processes including generation interconnection and retirement, local and regional planning, and congestion management. Mitchell holds a Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in Environment and Resources, a Certificate Degree in Energy Analysis and Policy from the University of Wisconsin–Madison as well as Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and in Finance.
